The board for Lakeshore Surge is made up of community members from different backgrounds and businesses. We are all involved in our community and hope to inspire others to get involved as well. Our current board consists of:
Dave Ruwe - President
WestEdge Realty
Dave has been a Realtor in the area for about 10 years. He has been an active member of the community having been on the Board of United Way and involved with their campaign. He is
currently a Board member for Tri-Cities Ministry Counseling, Board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lakeshore and is Past-Chair of the Chamber Ambassadors. Dave is one of the original Board members for the GHYP organization (now Lakeshore Surge).
Jill Heyboer - Vice President

Jill Heyboer works for C.D. Barnes of Grand Rapids. New to the lakeshore area in 2009, Jill got involved with Lakeshore Surge in an effort to make both business and personal connections. Jill is the current vice president for organization.
Stacey Bierling - Secretary

Stacey Bierling is the owner of Stacey Bierling Design - a graphic design and marketing company located along the lakeshore. She has been involved with Lakeshore Surge (formerly the Grand Haven Area Young Professionals) since its inception in 2005. She is also on the board for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lakeshore, the Women's Division Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Muskegon Woman's Club, the chair of the Ambassadors for the Grand Haven Chamber and a member of the Grand Haven, Coopersville and Muskegon Chambers of Commerce.

University and is now establishing his professional roots in the
community. He has been an active member with GHYP since 2008 and enjoy
the relationships that have grown from my involvement.
Jessica DesNoyers - Treasurer

Originally from Fort Ripley, MN, Jessica attended undergrad at Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. After graduation she moved to Winter Park, CO, to spend a couple years as a ski-bum, followed by a couple years in Denver, CO, working as a paralegal for the Denver City Attorney's office. After meeting and marrying Brad, Jessica moved to Grand Rapids, MI, to attend Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Jessica graduated from law school in May 2010, took the bar exam in July 2010 (passed!), and is currently working as a Staff Attorney for Varnum, LLP, in its Grand Haven office.
Cara Fisher

Cara Fisher is an attorney in Spring Lake specializing in business, real estate and estate planning. A recent addition to the Board of GHYP, Cara began her own law firm in March 2010, after eight years of practice at other firms. Soon thereafter, Cara became an active member of GHYP, taking advantage of the group’s great networking and social opportunities to create lasting business and personal connections.

Stefanie Herder (Vipond) was born and raised in the Grand Haven area and graduated from Spring Lake High School in 2002. She attended Grand Valley State University where she majored in Hospitality & Tourism Management. Stefanie resides in North Muskegon with her husband Josh and their two cats Nugget and Yeti. She enjoys traveling, meeting new people, golfing, concerts, snowboarding, and a good glass of red wine.
